Bob’s fine pure Maine Maple syrup is made right in the building
In the retail store it is available in all grades and comes in a variety of containers including traditional plastic, tins, and specialty glass. Bob is known for his wide assortment of maple products including maple sugar candy, (of course), maple fudge, “to die for” maple butter, maple popcorn, maple coffee, tea, and many maple seasonings. For those of you who remember helping Gramp” or Uncle make maple syrup many years ago, Bob also offers Maple Taffy (Sugar-On-Snow) in take-home tubs.
One of the more popular items found at Bob’s Sugarhouse will be his very delicious Maple Cotton Candy.-.a favorite with everyone! If you have never tried the Maple BBQ seasonings, this will be a treat for your pallet…made with maple sugar and a variety of seasonings it will turn any dish into an absolute favorite. Bob’s wife doesn’t care for spicy seasonings, but she finds the unique blend of maple with the spices is very pleasurable for her – and she uses and loves these various maple seasonings on most any of their dinner items.

Two big Open Houses are held each year
One during Maine Maple Weekend – a statewide festivity where many sugarmakers open their doors to the public for various activities. Bob hosts approximately 2000 visitors during this weekend showcasing his sugaring operation with demonstrations, a sample table full of dozens of free goodies made with Bob’s Maine Maple Syrup, Door Prizes, activities for kids, and a chance to meet and greet neighbors and friends from far and wide and chat about the art of making maple syrup as the clouds of sweet nectar fill the air.
The second Open House is held the first weekend in December as part of the local HomeTown Holidays to kick off the holiday season with many discounts, the same wonderful free sampling table, door prizes, and the holiday spirit filling the air. It also always comes during Bob’s birthday week…so it’s an extra big special celebration for all those who come through our doors.

He is a Past Lt. Gov Distinguished for Div. 2 of the New England and Bermuda Division of Kiwanis International and Past President Distinguished of the Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis Club and continues to remains as an active member of the club and Board of Directors.
He is also Past President and member of Maine Maple Producer’s Assn, a staunch supporter of our Veterans and Military, donates all the maple syrup for the Shiretown Homecoming Maple Breakfast each year, as well as, donates syrup to many worthy causes as auction prizes or as use in various fundraisers.
